Small Grant Applications are for grants $500 and less.

All applications will be reviewed by the Chosen Valley Community Foundation Board at their November meeting.
Grant recipient announcements will be made public in December.

* Will your project serve the Chosen Valley community? Note: the Chosen Valley community is defined as the geographic boundaries that encompass the Chatfield School District. Grant applications are only considered for those projects that will serve the Chosen Valley community.

* Briefly describe the project

* Grants are provided for projects that are charitable, religious, educational, scientific, literary, testing for public safety, fostering national or international amateur sports competition, and preventing cruelty to children or animals. The term “charitable” is used in its generally accepted legal sense and includes relief of the poor, the distressed, or the underprivileged; advancement of religion; advancement of education or science; erecting or maintaining public buildings, monuments, or works; lessening the burdens of government; lessening neighborhood tensions; eliminating prejudice and discrimination; defending human and civil rights secured by law; and combating community deterioration and juvenile delinquency. Please describe in detail how your project fits these criteria.

* Describe the demographic you wish to serve with your project and provide an estimate as to the number of individuals that could potentially benefit from your project.

* Please state whether or not your project will occur within the current academic year. Note: Grants awarded must be used within the academic year.

* Who is responsible for oversight of this project?

These grants are made available through the generous contributions of those who wish to better the Chosen Valley. To further promote Foundation’s cause, applicants agree to the following conditions upon award of a grant:

• Grant recipient will acknowledge the grant on their website for one year (January – December) with a link to www.cvcfoundation.com.
• Grant recipient agrees to acknowledge the grant in their monthly/annual newsletter (if they have one)
• The Foundation shall be granted the right to use your name, voice, image, likeness and biographical data in connection with the grant award including, without limitation, advertising, publicity, promotional and marketing materials.
• The Foundation encourages grant recipients to submit a letter to the editor of the Chatfield News or Fillmore County Journal acknowledging the grant and the benefit enjoyed by their organization from the receipt of funds.
